While we all love dressing up, slipping into a nice, sexy pair of black wedge sandals and going out on the town, there’s no denying that we all have casual shoes, and we all have plenty of occasions to wear them. It’s important to love these shoes too, and feel good about how they look. We do, after all, wear them on a very frequent basis.
Because these shoes typically take us through so many different activities, and sometimes through many different environments, they need to be cute and all purpose. You never know when you might get caught in the rain or accidentally make a mess with these shoes on, and they’re also the shoes that you’ll probably do the most walking in.
Pick a good, solid pair that fits very, very well. It should be snug, but leave plenty of room near the end of your toes for expansion when you stand, run, or jump. The arches of your feet will lower slightly, and you don’t want any cramping near the front of your feet as you move about.
The tops of these shoes must also fit well, because it’s important that the cloth not constrict your feet. A very common problem with these types of shoes is that the heel of the shoe may rub on the heel of your foot, causing irritation or blisters, especially because casual shoes are so often worn without socks. Make sure this part of shoe fits very comfortably from the get go, if it hurts in the store, the fabric will not stretch, and this will continue to be a problem.
